At Auckland's hippest hotel, we're committed to supporting the New Zealand Tourism Industry in setting new standards for sustainability. There's much to say about becoming sustainable and rather than pondering over the concept for the next 100 years, we're keen to make a difference now. Anyway, The Quadrant has been designed to be innovative since the beginning, so why stop it now?
We are keen to incorporate Tourisim New Zealand's "100% Pure New Zealand" branding in our guest's experience and we're committed to making our staff aware of the benefits of sustainability. In todays fast pased world, we encourange our guests to think outside the square with us and "Think Green".

World Carfree Day Campaign
21st -25th September 2009

The Quadrant Hotel Auckland is supporting the World Carfree Day Campaign, by incentivising staff and guests to move around the city using low or no emission transport, this means leaving the car at home.
The Quadrant has extended the day to cover the entiore week and from the 21st to the 25th September, one of our Quadrant team members - James - is offering our guests the option to travel aroud the city by rickshaw!! Go James! Go! ![]()
Earth Hour
28th March 2009
On Saturday 28th March The Quadrant Hotel Auckland took part in Earth Hour, the worldwide event for a better awareness of Light Pollution.
By simply turning off all non-essential lighting for one hour, The Quadrant was part of a New Zealand and world wide group calling for action to save the planet for future generations.
The Quadrant turned off all lights in our reception and lounge and lit the entire area with a stunning array of candles. To encourage our guests to also switch off for the hour, we provided our guests with GREEN GLOW STICKS on check-in.
